Prague Castle

Despite of being called Castle, the complex gathered within the centuries many different purposes diverged from the castle character. At the very beginning, it certainly was a castle - a seat of the Czech prince, later king- As the time passed and the Kingdom of Bohemia became a part of the Habsbourg monarchy with the cetre in Vienna, other purposes were found and given to this large complex of buildings: beside the seat of administratory officers, it housed a convent, a craftsmen village, noblemen palaces etc...
